My 15 year old daughter has always had stomach issues. When she was 4, she was under the care of a gastroenterologist because they thought she may have a form of inflammation that usually affects the intestines, but may occur anywhere from the mouth to the end of the rectum. or an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye.
When she has problems with her stomach, she automatically asks for the digestive blend and asks me to rub a couple of drops over her stomach and within seconds, her stomach is calm. There was an incident when I was not home and I happened to have the bottle of the digestive blend with me. She remembered my telling her about one of the oils in that blend (Fennel). I have a bottle of fennel and she found it and used that while I was gone and said it worked too, but not as well as her digestive blend.
Both of my daughters have been diagnosed with cognitive and mood issues, as well as anxious feelings and sleep issues. My eldest daughter has a VERY difficult time concentrating and focusing on more than one task at a time. She is 17 and has been on meds since age 8. Not once, in the almost ten years that she has taken medication, has she been able to verbalize or communicate how any of her meds are helping, or not helping her. For about 4 months, I have intermittently used a focus blend on her temples and have noticed that her focus it a bit better. (she calls it her focus oil). Eight weeks ago, I began to use it regularly and would place it at her temples and the base of her skull. After using it for almost a week, she said “Mommy, I hate to admit it, but I think these oils are helping me.” Then…on a Monday morning, (3 weeks before the end of school, her graduation) she told me, on the way to school, “Mommy, when you use the focus oil on my head, I can feel my brain “wake up”. That was the first time EVER that she was able to communicate how something made her feel. These oils WORK!!!
